Corona Virus and Distance Learning

Corona Virus (COVID19) and Distance Learning

Wow, what a strange time to be a student teacher! We have officially dismissed classes for 2.5 weeks in an effort to slow the spread of the Corona Virus. Students, we have spoken about this at length in class but it is important to keep saying: wash your hands and minimize your contact with others. This is a safety precaution and I do not want you guys to be needlessly scared, but I also want you to be as safe as possible.

With that being said, I miss you guys already. We have only been dismissed for three days and I sincerely miss spending time with you all. I am currently creating some online content. You, of course, are already diligently working on your IXL programs - but, I still want to offer you all that I can.

I will post the virtual lessons here and I will also provide them to Mrs. Wooten to post on Canvas if she would like. For now, you guys focus on taking care of yourselves and enjoying time with your loved ones. I will always encourage you to read and write as often as possible! If you are working on something special - I would love to see/read it! I am sorry our time together has been interrupted, but I understand why it had to happen.

I hope you all know that I am here if you need anything.

Stay safe,

Mrs. Durham
