2nd Week Reflection
Wow! What an eventful week this was. We were out of school on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We continued working on our research papers and students have jumped in full throttle. Wednesday I have the opportunity to solo teach for the first time! Students did such a WONDERFUL job. They were engaged, activated their prior learning, and worked collaboratively to work on a skill they have struggled with in the past. I hope that the lesson helped to clear up some misconceptions about reading for information and students remember the little tricks we practiced to properly analyze nonfiction/informational texts.
The rest of the week we practiced our new vocabulary, practiced our Daily Grammar, and continued to work on our research papers. If students are struggling with their papers they can email me or look up some helpful hints on the resource page of this website. I have enjoyed spending another week with FMS! Go Falcons!!!
